As a highly-qualified fifth grade teacher, I am fully equipped to aid you along your educational journey. The students in my classroom are accelerated learners, which means they are academically gifted. Yet, I have experience working with those who are not performing to grade level standards as well. My vast experience with a multitude of students has paved the way for me to become a well-rounded and knowledgeable instructor.Sometimes, a classroom teacher's methods are not suitable for every student in the group. This leads to some getting left behind because they are not able to grasp the material. I bring to the table a different approach. I see the need for customization in lesson plans, and I intend to deliver concepts in a way that is tailored to suit each student's individual personality. When I teach, I try to pinpoint strong areas, as well as weaknesses, in an effort to help aid in improvement. I am trained to guide people through academic hardship and into success.When it comes to teaching, my interests range from math to English. I have no preference because it is all fascinating to me. Subjects I tutor include reading, writing, essay editing, phonics, literature, grammar and mechanics, and public speaking. I also help students prepare for standardized tests such as the PSAT, SAT, ISEE, SSAT, and ACCUPLACER exam.
