I'm currently a student at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas seeking a bachelor's degree in English. I'm a part of the honors college, and I'm also seeking a Japanese minor. I edit the opinion section of the student newspaper. As a tutor, I've gained experience assisting students in Japanese and Spanish, but I also enjoy helping students with reading and English. I find it very satisfying to help others develop learning skills so they can become independent and lifelong learners. In my spare time, I like to run, bike, write, and read. Some of my favorite reading is in the form of poetry and short stories. I'm also training to run my first marathon.
