I attended the University of California at San Diego, where I earned my bachelor of science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. While I was studying for my degree, I devoted ten to fifteen hours per week to tutoring other students in a variety of subjects, while also helping them develop good study skills such as time management and organization. I specialize in tutoring in the science field, but also am qualified to tutor in a number of other subjects, including Spanish. I'm now working towards my master's degree in Medical Health Sciences through the Touro University in Nevada. And of course, I continue to tutor students. I have developed excellent skills over the years as I've been tutoring, such as patience, the ability to communicate well with a wide variety of people, and specific skills in teaching individuals. I like tutoring, because it gives me the chance to build a trusting relationship with my student, which gives me more opportunity to encourage them and provide them with the specific tools they need, which is different for every student, to succeed in their academic goals. When I'm not tutoring or studying, I enjoy indoor climbing, hiking, painting, and attending musicals and plays.
