Experience
I have been professionally working with students for about twenty years now. I have been an instructor inside the classroom, a tutor outside the classroom, and an adviser. Besides teaching as an instructor, I have developed and implemented a number of developmental programs for my classroom students. My expertise is in composition and the English language. I pride myself in my writing abilities. Whether it be brainstorming, writing, editing, developing ideas, or organization, I can assist in all these areas of composition. However, I am open to tutoring a variety of subjects. For example, I can and have helped others overcome their fears of public speaking. All it takes is a bit of guidance and vulnerability. My teaching style is quite simple. I get to know each individual student and determine whether or not he/she will need a lot of guidance or a little guidance. From there, I come up with individualized lesson plans for each student. I attended Eastern Michigan and earned both my M.A. and B.A. in literature while studying there. When I am not tutoring or teaching, I enjoy hiking. I have hiked Red Rock a number of times. I also love the television show "The Walking Dead." Additionally, I am a big animal rights activist and environmentalist.

Hobbies
Hiking, watching The Walking Dead, writing TV and film reviews. Sometimes I play on a softball team, depending on time. I also have a strong interest in animal rights.
